EUGENE, Ore. -- A historic beanery in downtown Eugene will close its doors next week.
Allan's Coffee and Tea on 5th Street will brew its final cups on Nov. 15.
Employees at the shop say their landlord decided not to renew their lease.
Community members and employees are sad to hear the news.
"Working down here, I don't know where we'll be able to meet now and have our coffee," said Stephanie Perry. "So it's nice, I actually do come down here for work 'cause I'm a sales representative, so we often make meetings at that place, so I'm sad to see it go."
"We're Oregon's longest roastery," said Addie Beplate, an employee at the shop. "We've been here forever, and we deserve to have people come show their support. And in the meantime until we find a new location, either send us suggestions or come to our other coffee shop."
Allan's Coffee and Tea's other location is on Hilyard Street in Eugene and will not close.
