EUGENE, Ore. -- Gas prices have risen 4.8 cents per gallon in the past week, according to Gasbuddy.

Prices are averaging $2.57 per gallon on Monday. They are 13.4 cents per gallon higher than a month ago, but stand 34.7 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.

"With oil's meteoric rally continuing, motorists continue to face gas prices that continue to advance," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis for GasBuddy. "With a barrel of crude oil now at its highest level in nearly a year, there's nowhere for gas prices to go but up."

The cheapest station in Eugene is priced at $2.25 per gallon and the most expensive is $2.89 per gallon.
