EUGENE, Ore. – The City of Eugene is postponing all parking and noncriminal appearances at the municipal court for the next 30 days.

The move is part of efforts to slow the spread of novel coronavirus.

People scheduled for dates this week will receive a letter with an updated appearance date. People can call the court to make sure officials have the correct mailing address.

Jury trials that are not time sensitive will be postponed.

Jurors at high risk of contracting the virus may reschedule their jury service. Officials said this includes people 60 years old and older, people with underlying health conditions, people with weakened immune systems and those who are pregnant.

All other criminal appearances and trials will continue unless otherwise notified. People can also contact their attorney to request a postponement.

At this time, community court is being held at 1102 Lincoln Street. No drop-in services will be available.

You can contact Eugene Municipal Court at 541-682-5400 or EugeneMunicipalCourt@ci.eugene.or.us.
