One in custody after 19-year-old was shot in chest in road rage incident

Police said there in no ongoing threat to the community.

EUGENE, Ore. -- Police arrested 21-year-old Anthony Michael David Baker in relation to a shooting on Saturday morning. 

Eugene Police told KEZI that the suspect was found in the 300 block of Main Street in Springfield.

A 19-year-old woman was shot in the chest early around 1 a.m. during what began as a road rage incident.

Police said a girlfriend got between two males and then was shot.

Eugene Police are investigating the case that took place in a parking lot at 90 Commons Dr. 

The victim was transported to RiverBend Hospital with life-threatening injuries and is currently under care.

EPD originally said two suspects were involved in this shooting but later clarified it was only one.

Police said there in no ongoing threat to the community.

Baker is currently lodged at Lane County jail with one count of assault in the first degree (firearm), one count of unlawful use of weapon and one count of felon in possession of weapon.
