EUGENE, Ore. -- Eugene School District 4J is launching a school meal delivery service called "School-ber Eats."

Starting on Oct. 12, the district will offer delivery of school meals to families who are not near a meal pickup location or who need help getting meals.

Food will be delivered every school day during the time all 4J students are learning online. Breakfast and lunch will be delivered together and extra meals for the weekend will be provided on Fridays.

The district will deliver free school meals to homes within the district boundary for any children age 18 and younger. Children do not have to be 4J students to receive meals, but capacity is limited and priority will be given to 4J students.

Families must complete an online request form or call 541-790-7654.
