EUGENE, Ore. -- Do you have what it takes to survive for two weeks without electricity or water to keep your family safe?

The city of Eugene is hosting an emergency preparedness fair on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the park blocks downtown.

There will be vendors with emergency supplies and training information, as well as earthquake tech booths that can help you increase the safety of your home during an earthquake.

Organizers said about 167,000 people live in Eugene, but there are only 200 first responders on duty at any given time.

They said we all need to be ready to help ourselves and neighbors just in case of an emergency.
