EUGENE, Ore. -- Working out in gyms during phase one won't be what it was like before, but the owners of one gym said they're willing to have their precautions last as long as needed.

Sisters Coty and Catherine Richardson own Fitness 1440. They said they will be installing dividers between cardio machines, spacing other equipment six feet apart and providing their members with masks and gloves.

"We require members to wipe down equipment," Coty said. "We require strict sanitation standards within the gym at all times."

They have also put a hold to group classes and won't let members use the drinking fountain or the showers. They said they will also be asking members who are sick or have been in contact with someone who is to not come and are limiting the number of people inside to 25 at a time.

"I don't anticipate it really being a difficulty," Catherine said. "I just see it as something we are going to have to maintain for a long time.

They plan to reopen Monday.
