EUGENE, Ore. – Deputies are searching for a Eugene man who was last seen at a roadside campground on Aug. 5.

The Lane County Sheriff’s Office said Michael Bryson, 27, wandered away from a group of friends at about 4:30 a.m., and it’s not known what direction he was heading. The campground is located off Brice Creek Road west of Champion Creek Road in south Lane County.

Family members reported Bryson missing when he did not return home.

Search and rescue teams have been deployed to the area every day since, but so far no clues have been found. Bryson left his camping gear at the campground, and his phone has been powered off for several days.

He is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds and having short brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, tan shorts, and white Crocs with rainbows on them. He may be wearing a brown, corduroy baseball cap.

Anyone who sees Bryson or knows where he is should contact the sheriff’s office at 541-682-4150, press 1, and reference case #20-5286.
