EUGENE, Ore. – A Springfield man has been arrested on multiple charges including possessing a machine gun, delivery of methamphetamine and 13 counts of felon in possession of a firearm.

Robert Michael Cross, 52, was arrested at his residence in the 1200 block of 30th Street in Springfield on Monday, while detectives served a search warrant of the property. During their search they recovered a Polaris Ranger UTV that had been stolen from Lane Electric Co-op in October. It was valued at more than $27,000.

Also recovered were an Interstate Cargo trailer and a $14,000 commercial wood splitter. Detectives also found three shotguns, four handguns, six rifles and a gun silencer. In addition, about a quarter pound of methamphetamine was discovered.

The search warrant was served after a detective in the Eugene Police Property Crimes Unit received information about the possible location of the stolen UTV. The search warrant was served by EPD Property Crimes Unit detectives with assistance from Eugene Police SWAT, EPD drone team and police K-9 teams.

Additional charges related to the recovered stolen items are expected, police said.
