EUGENE, Ore. - Mock Trial teams from three different high schools in Eugene gathered at the UO Law School on Saturday, February 17, for a scrimmage event.

The program is a state-wide event put on by the Classroom Law Project.

The three schools were Willamette, South Eugene, and, for the very first time, North Eugene.

North Eugene students said they're excited to finally have a program in place. In their very first year they have 20 students participating, which makes up half of the students attending the scrimmage event.

Students said Mock Trial and these scrimmaging events are a great way for them to explore a possible career and make themselves more marketable in that career.

"This is just a way to explore, have fun, push our comforts, and expand our skill sets," said one of the participating students, Aviv Bernstein Livne.
