SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- A church-owned thrift store is closing it's doors, and in its final days, they are giving away all of their inventory for free.

The Crossfire Family Resource Thrift Store has been at a shopping center off of Mohawk Boulevard for four years.

Pastor Aaron Taylor of Crossfire World Outreach Ministries said the store supported their outreach programs and was stafffed almost entirely by volunteers.

Taylor said the rising cost of thier rent forced them to shut their doors. They marked everything in the store 100% off Monday, and by Tuesday morning, most of their inventory was gone.

"As a church, I think the church should do more than talk about Jesus," Taylor said. "We've got to be his hands and feet, so we try to say yes and try to help every time we can."

Taylor said they are keeping the store's shelves and other fixtures and they hope to find another space for a thrift store soon. He said they need to be out of the space by midnight.
