EUGENE, Ore. -- A Eugene family is safe after their home caught fire Tuesday morning.

Fire crews were called to the 2800 block of Ferry Street around 12:34 a.m. When they arrived, flames covered the front of the home. Officials say they were able to keep the fire from spreading to other residences.

All seven people living in the home were able to escape without injuries and the Red Cross was called in to help.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but officials believe it started in the garage.
