EUGENE, Ore. -- Family spokesperson, Donna Moore, gave an update on the condition of Bob Cross, the 51-year-old pilot involved in a plane crash north of Meadowview Road and Greenhill Road.
In a statement, Moore said:
"The Family of Bob Cross (James Robert Cross III) continues to be overwhelmed and grateful by the love and support shown not only by the Eugene community, but by those throughout Oregon and the northwest communities where Bob worked. They are humbled by the love and support and thankful for the growing circle of continued support from everyone. Bob Cross, 51 remains in critical condition in the ICU at Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend after sustaining multiple injuries and fractures throughout his body. If he continues to remain stable, his condition may be upgraded from critical to serious. Although Bob sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition, he continues to fight as those who know him would expect. He is tenacious when he sets his mind to a goal."
On Friday, friends shared recent memories with the pilot and said they are wishing for his speedy recovery.
Cross is a Eugene native as well as the president of Lee Built Construction. He is a member of the University Fellowship Church and also a long-standing vocalist for the Emerald City Jazz Kings.
