JUNCTION CITY, Ore. -- A late night fire claimed one shed Friday in Junction City.

The owner of the property says around 11 p.m. Friday night he woke up to banging on his door and his neighbors saying that there was a fire outside his home.

Junction City Fire responded and were able to put out the fire, but not before it burned the shed to the ground -- and also caused heat damage to a neighboring garage.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this point, but homeowner Juan Lozano said  the damage that was caused is not the most important part.

"The more important (part) is that nobody got hurt, nobody got burned. It's just material and it can always be replaced," he said.

Lozano said that the refurbished shed plus the contents inside that were lost total around $30,000 and that he was preparing it to be sold.

The garage doors on the neighbors home suffered some heat damage, but there were no injuries in either family.
