LEBANON, Ore. – Fire crews responded to a two-alarm grass fire Saturday evening, just outside of Lebanon, that was sparked by farm equipment.

Firefighters were called out to the area near Highway 34 and Red Bridge Road around 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

Crews found a large tractor and baler surrounded by fire. Officials said wind gusts caused the fire to spread.

Officials said crews were able to contain the fire to 1.2 acres and were able to protect the tractor from major damage. However, they said the baler received more damage and will likely need to be rebuilt.

Crews were on the scene for close to three hours containing the fire and mopping up hot spots.
