EUGENE, Ore. – The cause of a fire that burned several trailers and property Thursday morning on Pickens Road is under investigation.
The Lane Fire Authority responded to reports of fire just after 3:30 a.m. in the 26000 block of Pickens Road.

Fire crews had the flames under control by 5 a.m.
Investigators said the property had junk scattered throughout and is known to house stolen property and vehicles.
However, the property owner said he has been collecting the items on the property for more than 30 years.
He said the flames were caused by someone who lives with him on the property.
"By the time I was out there, it was fully engulfed," said Mark Dickinson, the property owner. "There was no way to save it. The tree went up. It was pretty awesome."
He said the fire burned more than $1,200 worth of old electronics.
No one was found or harmed at the damaged property.
