NORTH BEND, Ore. -- An early-morning crash in downtown North Bend sent five teenagers to the hospital Monday.
Around 3:30 a.m., a 2003 Toyota Sequoia SUV with five teenage passengers came crashing through the front corner of Color Tile & Carpet, 2495 Broadway Ave.

Crews are currently working on making sure the outside corner of the business is secured.
North Bend Police said the car bounced off a power pole up the street then crashed head-on into the front corner of the store.
Despite the damage, Color Tile is still open.
The details of how the crash happened are still unclear.
The five teenagers in the car, including the driver, 18-year-old Tyler Kirkpatrick of Myrtle Point, were anywhere from 14 to 18 years old.
Captain Curt Bennet with the North Bend Police Department said they had to be removed from the vehicle with help from the Jaws of Life.
“The North Bend Fire Department used the Jaws of Life to extricate the vehicle occupants. There were five occupants in total, including the driver,” Bennett said. “Three of those occupants were transported to an aftercare facility by life flight.”
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
There has been no word yet on the condition of the three that were life flighted to an advanced trauma center. All five were initially transported to Bay Area Hospital for treatment.
