ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A Days Creek man was sentenced to five years and 10 months in prison for sexually abusing minors on Thursday.
Officials said Kyle Humphrey, 31, was convicted on one count of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct and one count of sex abuse in the second degree.
Humphrey was arrested in August 2019 after admitting to having sexual contact with two underage girls.
Officials said he will have to register as a sex offender.
Humphrey is a former employee of the Boys and Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley, according to club staff.
They said they are trying to move forward from this incident.
“We want to make sure there’s a safe environment for the kids we serve,” said Bryan Lake, the chief executive director of the Boys and Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley. “And, I’m grateful that this chapter is over.”
Lake said the victims were not club members.
He also said Humphrey never made contact with the victims at the club or during club activities.
