Former executive director at retirement home sentenced to 60 days

The former executive director of a memory care facility in Eugene was sentenced for mistreating patients.

EUGENE, Ore. -- The former executive director of a memory care facility in Eugene was sentenced for mistreating patients who died in his care.

David Meisener pleaded guilty on Wednesday and was sentenced to 60 days in jail and probation.

Prosecutors said Meisener and a nurse, Jandyra Dubofsky, mistreated three patient between June and September in 2016 at Southtowne memory care, which prosecutors said could have been a factor in their deaths.

Dubofsky was convicted and sentenced earlier this month.
