LOWELL, Ore. -- A former student is accused of making threats against the principal of Lowell High School, Superintendent Johnie Matthews said.
The district received information from parents and students regarding a threat late Tuesday evening. School officials and the Lane County Sheriff's Office investigated.
They said the student believed to have made the threat was taken into custody. No threats were made to the school or student body, Matthews said.
Officials said they take all rumors and threats seriously and thanked those that contacted them with reports of the threat.
