EUGENE, Ore. -- A free flu shot clinic that was planned for Tuesday in Eugene has been canceled due to weather.

It was set to be held from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Lane County Fairgrounds. County officials said they will notify the public if another event is scheduled.

Health officials say getting a flu shot is one of the best things you can do to help during the COVID-19 pandemic, as both viruses could together overwhelm hospitals and health care professionals. There is also the possibility of getting the flu and COVID-19 at the same time, which could be a dangerous combination.
