EUGENE, Ore. -- Oakridge resident Nikki George seemingly vanished from a party in Eugene nine days ago, leaving behind a 2-year-old son and concerns for her welfare.
Twin sister Nina George said on Oct. 3, she picked up her sister from Oakridge and drove her to the Westmoreland park area for the party.
Nikki reportedly told Nina she wouldn't need a ride home because a friend from Portland would be coming to pick her up and drive her home. She said she didn't want to be away from her son overnight.
Nina said two men showed up at the party and hung out for a while before leaving with Nikki without saying goodbye.
That party was the last time anyone saw Nikki.
Shortly after, Nina texted Nikki and only received one cryptic response before she went radio silent.
Nina said she and other friends and family have spent numerous days trying to reach out to her and have heard nothing.
"I would like her to hear that we love her and we don't care what happened -- we just want her home safe -- and her little boy is safe and he misses her," she told KEZI 9 News.
Eugene Police said that Nikki has been logged as a missing woman and the Violent Crimes Unit has been assigned to the case.
