EUGENE, Ore. -- Gov. Kate Brown will address the City Club of Eugene Tuesday in a special meeting -- the same day the 2019 legislative session kicks off.

Brown will be discussing health care, environmental sustainability, gun safety and education, among other topics.

The event is being held at 1 p.m. Jan. 22 at the Ford Alumni Center at the University of Oregon.

The event is free for City Club members. Students will also get in free with an ID thanks to a donor, City Club officials said. For non-members, the cost is $5 per person.

Brown was elected to her first full term in November 2018.
