DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. -- Investigators are trying to determine what caused a grass fire three miles northwest of Winston.
It started in a mowed hay field near the 11000 block of Lookingglass Road.
Crews from the Douglas Forest Protective Association and Lookingglass Rural Fire Department responded to the fire shortly before 1 p.m.
The fire burned half an acre and firefighters were able to quickly stop the fire from spreading any further.
Crews remained on the scene of the Lookingglass Road Fire until 2:30 p.m., mopping up hot spots and securing control lines.
The cause of the Lookingglass Road Fire is currently under investigation.
