SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- GrassRoots Landcape Company on South 28th Street is opening up their space to anyone in need.

With more 23 acres of land, they say they have plenty of space for people in trailers, tents or even their cars.

"It's very uncommon to have a fire this close to town and our hearts are going out to people who are basically our neighbors," general manager Phillip Farris said.

The landscaping company has several vehicles and trailers that can assist those who ned to evacuate, including moving any animals or livestock.

Farris said the company has access to several resources and want to help those impacted in any way.

"I would welcome anybody who needs help or if there are any other ways we can help with moving materials or room for livestock or anything like that, we'd be happy to help," he said.

GrassRoots Landscape is located in Springfield past the bike path and creek bridge on South 28th Street. If you need help, you can give them a call at 541-359-9604 or go to their website www.GrowWithGrassRoots.com.
