REEDSPORT, Ore. -- Helicopters will be placing over 500 whole trees in streams throughout eight miles of the upper Indian Creek Watershed in the Siuslaw National Forest.
The project promoting habitat for salmon and other species is scheduled to start Monday and go until Sunday.
Drivers on forest service roads in the upper Indian Creek Watershed area should use caution. There will be road guards for safety and some temporary road closures.
Helicopters are being used to access remote sections of the streams, forest officials said.
