EUGENE, Ore. -- Oregon quarterback Justin Hebert was taken 6th overall in the first round of the NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Chargers.
Herbert led the Ducks to Pac-12 and Rose Bowl titles as a senior. The Eugene-born Herbert was the Senior Bowl MVP and had a impressive performance at the NFL combine.
Herbert is the sixth Oregon quarterback picked in the first round and the fifth in the common draft era.
Herbert was also a Campbell Trophy winner as the nation's top scholar athlete.
Herbert finished his career at Oregon with 10,541 passsing yards and 95 touchdowns.
