EUGENE, Ore. – After concerns Holiday Farm Fire evacuees would be forced to leave their hotels Thursday afternoon, county officials confirm at least one hotel has extended their stay.
Devon Ashbridge with Lane County said people displaced by the fires will now be allowed to stay at the Holiday Inn Express on Franklin Boulevard through Oct. 2/3.

County officials said they are working on a similar solution for evacuees at the Candlewood Suites on Franklin Boulevard.
Several evacuees told KEZI 9 News the Red Cross had left a notice under their doors Wednesday night letting them know they would have to leave due to upcoming large events in Lane County and prior reservations.
Move-in Day for University of Oregon students is Friday. Spokeswoman Kay Jarvis said the university asked local hotels to give priority to evacuees. They are working with Travel Lane County, local hotels, the Red Cross and others to make sure students and their families have accommodations that will not disrupt evacuees.
