EUGENE, Ore. -- A homeless camp that originally started over a month ago by the Federal Courthouse in Eugene has moved to the area of Mill Street and E. 8th Avenue.

Campers told KEZI 9 News it was a protest in order to get the city to give them a place to be and that rent is a huge factor for many of them being homeless.

On July 28 the camp received a notice from the city to leave so Monday they moved over to Mill Street which is on the same block where they had previously been camping.
