COTTAGE GROVE, Ore.-- Investigators are looking into a juvenile who may have started a house fire in Cottage Grove Tuesday evening.

The fire started around 6 p.m. Tuesday on North H Street near downtown Cottage Grove. Witnesses said smoke could be seen engulfing the house. No one was injured by the blaze.

One witness told KEZI, a neighbor ran inside the house to rescue a 13-year-old boy who was home alone. That neighbor told the witness there was a spot on the floor that looked like a fire had been built. However, South Lane Fire is still investigating the scene and could not confirm what the neighbor saw.

Max Clark, who captured a video of the fire, said he initially worried about the teen stuck inside.

"I was told it was a 13-year-old that was home alone so I was worried about the kid," Clarks said. "They told me he was safe and was in the cop car waiting for the parents to arrive. But luckily, I didn't see any flames, it was just smoke billowing out everywhere."
