EUGENE, Ore. – The old Hynix plant in west Eugene could be getting a new 850,000-square-foot warehouse at the site.

The building will only become a reality if the project is approved by the city of Eugene.

Ohio company Stratacache bought the plant for $6.3 million in April. They produce micro-LED displays like tablet screens.

Officials at the company said the warehouse would be four stories tall and have 62 loading bays for semi-trucks.

Stratacache did not say how many jobs this warehouse would create, but they said the plant itself will create about 100 jobs with hundreds more being added in the next three years.
