Icy roads prompt school delays

Several school districts across Lane County delayed the start of school on Monday.

LANE COUNTY, Ore. -- Icy conditions caused some school districts in Lane County to delay the start of school on Monday.

The school districts affected are:

  • Junction City School District: Two-hour late start and morning and afternoon buses are on snow routes
  • Blachly School District: Three-hour delay due to icy conditions
  • Crow-Applegate-Lorane School District: Schools closed due to icy road conditions; district offices open.
  • Camas Valley Charter School : Two-hour late start and morning preschool is canceled.
