SWEET HOME, Ore. – The Linn County Sheriff's Office released new information about human remains that were found in the county last week.
The remains, which were found on US Forest Service Road 417, belong to a white woman between the ages of 30 and 50 at the time of her death, deputies said.
She reportedly had short, wavy brown hair.

Investigators are working to identify her and the cause of death.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office said they received a call at 1:37 p.m. on April 3 and responded to the forest service road about five miles up Gordon Road, 13 miles east of Sweet Home.
