EUGENE, Ore. -- Lane Community College and Northwest Christian University have teamed up to help students save money and time. M Monday, the two presidents held a signing ceremony for the "Titan to Beacon" program.

The program will let some LCC students receive full academic credits at NCU so they can directly enroll in upper division courses. The new program is designed to help them save time and thousands of dollars in tuition and fees.

NCU Student Curtis Smith said it will help get his degree faster. "LCC already got those pathways with the U of O and OSU and it's all about making it easier for students to transition as well as keeping costs down," Smith said.

LCC students studying nursing, business, music, and others can all take part in the program.
