LCC receives $2.22M retention and completion grant

EUGENE, Ore. – Lane Community College will be getting a $2.22-million federal grant to help improve retention and completion rates.

The grant will help with peer mentoring services, link career services to work-based learning experiences, and help implement an early alert system for students in academic jeopardy.

The grant is a five-year Title III Strengthening Institutions grant from the Federal Department of Education.

LCC hopes to improve its graduation rate from 12.3% to 21%, and it’s one to two-year retention rate from 55% to 63%.
