JUNCTION CITY, Ore. -- After years of fall-time fun, Lone Pine Farms has a new owner, but don't expect any hay rides or pumpkin patches anytime soon.

Ken Kokkeler, president of Upward Incorporated, a local full-service landscaping and hauling company, said they closed the deal in early September.

According to county records, they paid $810,000 for the property.

Upward Incorporated has already moved into the property, Kokkeler said. They are using it as a hub of operations for their landscape construction and commercial landscape maintenance division. He said they will also be starting a nursery operation to grow commercial nursery stock.

Kokkeler said he was sad to see Lone Pine Farms close but they are open to the possibility of using the property for charity benefits in the future.
