Lane County COVID-19 cases top 2,000

There are 82 new cases on Friday.

EUGENE, Ore. – With 82 new cases reported on Friday, Lane County has seen more than 2,000 cases since the start of the pandemic.

Of those 2,041 cases, 23 have died, 18 are in the hospital, 212 remain infectious and 647 are under monitoring.

Lane County officials said nearly 75,500 residents have been tested.

Both confirmed and presumptive cases are included in the case totals, officials said.
