EUGENE, Ore. – With Gov. Kate Brown’s announcement that all large gatherings be canceled through September, the Lane County Fair will not be held this year, organizers said.
The fair was scheduled to be held July 22 to 26.

“We understand and support the need to protect the health of our community and know that hard decisions are being made all across the state,” organizers said in a statement.
However, they added that the decision is still devastating for those who look forward to the event every year and for vendors who depend on it for income.
Lane County Fair staff said they will look for creative ways to welcome the community to the Lane County Fairgrounds over the summer and will begin planning for 2021.
