LANE COUNTY, Ore. -- A Lane County deputy is on administrative leave and is involved in two investigations, one of them criminal in nature.

Two women tell KEZI that Deputy Bryan Holiman sexually harassed them while he was on duty.

Lane County Sheriff Byron Trapp confirmed Holiman is on leave and is involved in an internal investigation. Separately, District Attorney Patty Perlow confirmed Holiman is the target of a criminal investigation led by Florence police.

The women, who wished to remain anonymous, both said they worked closely with Holiman because of their jobs and said he made inappropriate comments while on the job. They said some of those comments contained sexual innuendos. One woman said Holiman even sent inappropriate text messages as well.

The first woman who talked to KEZI 9 News said the harassment happened to her back in May 2017. She said she filed a report with her supervisor shortly after, but nothing happened.

It wasn’t until October 2018 when a second woman filed a report that both women were then interviewed by the agencies investigating.

They told KEZI they were shocked by the inappropriate comments and said they made them feel uncomfortable.

Trapp said Holiman has been with the sheriff's office since June 2001.
