EUGENE, Ore. -- The Lane County Sheriff’s Office has identified and arrested a second suspect in connection with a home invasion and robbery west of Eugene.
Detectives contacted Daniel Cole Carter, 18, Wednesday afternoon and arrested him on three counts of robbery in the first degree, two counts of assault in the second degree and one count of unlawful use of a weapon, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies said during the June 13 robbery, three men broke into an RV on a property in the 86000 block of Northill Ranch Road and assaulted two other men in the RV, demanding cash and marijuana.
Dylan Haines, 21, was arrested two days later in connection with the robbery. At the time, Carter’s identity was unknown.
Carter was lodged in the Lane County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.
The sheriff’s office is still searching for the third suspect in the case, 18-year-old Daniel Hoeve-Chavez of Eugene.
He is described as five feet nine inches tall and about 180 pounds.
Anyone who sees Hoeve-Chavez is asked to call the sheriff’s office and should not approach him.
