Lane County adds 50 COVID-19 cases Friday

Officials said the testing event for wildfire evacuees is now also open to those currently working with the public as part of their job.

EUGENE, Ore. – Lane County Public Health reported 50 new COVID-19 cases on Friday.

Officials said this brings the total of confirmed and presumptive cases to 1,723. Of those, 264 are considered to be still infectious and 13 people are in the hospital.

The testing event for wildfire evacuees is now also open to those currently working a public-facing job. To get tested, show up to the Lane Events Center parking lot, 796 W. 13th Ave., from 2 to 6 p.m.
