Lane County adds 54 cases Tuesday

One more resident has died due to COVID-19.

EUGENE, Ore. – Lane County Public Health added 54 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday and one more death.

The new cases bring the total of confirmed and presumptive cases to 1,570. Of those, 262 are considered infectious.
Officials said 10 people are in the hospital, and the death toll has risen to 21.

The most recently reported death is a 94-year-old woman from the Eugene-Springfield area who died Oct. 4 from complications associated with COVID-19. She was not in the hospital at the time of her death. Lane County Public Health issued their condolences to the woman’s friends and family.
