SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- Both donation sites for victims of the Holiday Farm Fire are closed at this time.

Organizers of the Silke Field site said they were putting a pause on accepting donations starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday. They said if people would still like to help, they can bring gas cards and grocery gift cards to that location.

Officials with United Way of Lane County, which is helping oversee the new location at 2699 Roosevelt Boulevard, said the second site is also not taking donations at this time. They have reached capacity. If people would like to help, they can make a financial donation on United Way's website.

In just a day, officials said the Eugene site received an overwhelming outpouring of support of goods and supplies for victims of the fire.

United Way said if specific donated goods are needed for fire victims in coming weeks, an announcement of needed items and a donation site will be shared at that time.

This is a constantly evolving situation, and updates will be provided as they become available.
