LANE COUNTY, Ore.-- Lane County Public Health reported 4 new coronavirus cases Saturday morning, raising the county's total to 54.

These are the first new cases reported in the county since the 50th case was identified on April 23.

The cases include a man in his 70s, a woman in her 40s and a male in his late teens, all of which are examples of household transmission, according to officials. The fourth new case is a woman in her 50s who is linked with a previously known case.

All four live in private residences. Two were from the Eugene-Springfield area and two were from elsewhere in the county.

Officials are completing communicable disease investigations and contacting these people so they can work with their healthcare providers on the next steps.
