Lane County reports one new case, more than 1,000 tests

EUGENE, Ore. – One man is in the hospital due to novel coronavirus, Lane County Public Health officials said Tuesday.

The man is in his 60s and lives in a private residence in the Eugene-Springfield area.

At least 1,019 tests have been conducted for Lane County residents so far. Officials say the number is likely higher, as there is a variability in reporting of negative results.

Two new cases were reported on Monday.

The county’s total of positive cases is now 31. One person has died.
