Lane County sees five new COVID-19 cases

Many of the cases were linked to existing cases.

EUGENE, Ore. – Lane County reported five new cases on Monday.

Officials said this brings the county total to 65 for positive tests There is one presumptive case as well.

The new cases include the following:

  • A person in their early 30s from Eugene-Springfield who is medically stable at home. This is an example of household transmission.
  • A person in their late 30s from Eugene-Springfield who is medically stable at home. This individual has a known link to an existing case.
  • A person in their early 50s from Eugene-Springfield who is medically stable at home. This individual has a known link to an existing case.
  • A person in their mid 50s from Eugene-Springfield who is medically stable at home. This individual has a known link to an existing case.
  • A person in their late 60s from Eugene-Springfield who is medically stable at home. This individual was identified through proactive, point-of-care testing.

Those who had contact with these people will be contacted by Lane County Public Health.
