Lane County sees ninth coronavirus case

The man is currently in the hospital in stable condition.

EUGENE, Ore. – Another person has tested positive for novel coronavirus in the Eugene-Springfield area.

Lane County officials said the case is a man in his 60s who lives in a private residence. He is currently hospitalized but is in stable condition.

Those who he had contact with will be identified. The investigation is ongoing. If a public exposure point is identified, that information will be shared with the public, officials said.

This is the ninth case in the county. One person has died.
