Lane, Douglas counties to receive $1.7M in housing vouchers

Lane County will receive the lion's share of the total.

EUGENE, Ore. – Lane and Douglas counties will receive $1.7 million in housing choice vouchers from the American Rescue Plan Act.

The program assists very low-income families, the elderly and the disabled with affording decent, safe and sanitary housing in the private market.

Public housing agencies receive the money from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and send them out.

Lane County will receive $1.6 million and Douglas County will get just over $90,000.
