CRESWELL, Ore. -- Fire crews were able to get a large grass fire under control at Hobby Field Friday morning.
South Lane Fire was dispatched to the fire around 5:30 a.m. after people driving along the highway reported seeing flames on the field.

The airfield was closed while fire crews worked to put out the fire.
Fire officials believe the fire is related to a transient camp set up behind trees in the area.
Crews from Pleasant Hill and Goshen also responded to the fire.
By 6:45 a.m. the fire was fully extinguished.
The amount of damage to the runway, if any, is unknown.
