EUGENE, Ore. -- There is a large police presence at Hawkins Lane in Eugene Thursday afternoon.
Eugene police said officers responded to a shots fired call on Hawkins Lane at about 2:30 p.m. It is believed to be a domestic dispute.
Crisis negotiation, patrol offciers, SWAT and the armored rescue vehicle are all at the location.
Police said they are trying to make contact with someone inside a house. There is no known risk to the public at this time, police said, but residents should avoid the area of Hawkins Lane and 26th Avenue.
